The Tally Ho began operating as a movie theatre in 1932 and recently has been renovated to host live music performances. We're looking forward to our maiden voyage there. <center><img src="http://www.technicolormotorhome.com/TallyHo.jpg" alt="" style="border: none; height: 429; width: 640; " /></center> <hr> Other news: After 17 years as one of Baltimore's finest concert halls, the Recher Theatre is converting to a dance club. The stage will be demolished on April 1, but on Sunday March 31 they are going out with a bang. There are about 20 bands performing throughout the day. Some members of our group will be playing in a scaled down version as Technicolor Minivan around 5PM, and all proceeds from the event go to <A HREF="http://www.cf4cf.com">CF4CF</A> (Catherine's Fund For Cystic Fibrosis). Buddy Hilseberg, the stage manager at the Recher, lost his daughter Catherine to this disease in 2006. Our sound man Keith Nachodsky has worked there for many years and together with Evan Kirkendall have organized this event to close the venue in style. It was a chance meeting between Glenn Workman and Scott Recher that got the ball rolling in September 2010. Having noticed that much of Recher schedule included a variety of tribute bands, Glenn asked Scott if he'd consider hiring an all Steely Dan band if a group were assembled, Scott, with no hesitation, said yes he'd book a date for the group. Three days later sight unseen (and unheard), with all prospective members giving a quick yes to the possibility, we were given a showcase date at the Recher, as well as repeated bookings for the next 2 years. The band will very much miss the stage, the staff, and the audience that always welcomed us very warmly. <hr> Various shows this summer have begun to firm up and details are being posted on our website as they do. We will be returning to the Charles Village Festival, the Lurman Woodland Theatre, and opening for Three Dog Night at the Dundalk Heritage Fair. Friday October 7, 2011 - Doors open at 8PM. @ The 8x10 in Baltimore MD. We'll be playing a 2 hour set opening once again for the Jon Herington Band. Jon has been Steely Dan's touring and recording guitarist since 2000. We had a great time at our maiden performance here in February and we're psyched to be back for another full length show. Glenn Workman here, sending out this note. I've got a new band called Technicolor Motor Home (<a href="http://www.technicolormotorhome.com/">www.technicolormotorhome.com</a>). Its a 10 man group that plays the music of Steely Dan. Our first gig is Friday February 25, 2011 at The Recher Theatre in Towson MD (<a href="http://www.rechertheatre.com/">www.rechertheatre.com</a>). This is a one time mailing to folks in my address book to see if you're interested in being on a mailing list for the band. I won't bombard you with mail, just some simple notes when we have upcoming dates. If you're interested in being on the list, simply reply to this note.
